Great food, great people, great atmosphere!!

Great service, very friendly staff. The food was the best breakfast I've ever had. Biscuits were HUGE and super hot and fresh. Gravy tasted like it was homemade, eggs were perfectly cooked and the pancakes were fluffy and fresh. The portions were very generous and the prices were beyond fair. I can not say enough good things about this diner ! I will most definitely return from now on when I visit Kure Beach !

Good food. It is a little pricier than I would like but I still go here every now and again. Small dining area, likely a wait in the summer on weekends, but I don't recall waiting more than 20 minutes or so.

There was a street fair and many people yet it didn't feel crowded. We had lunch at the diner. Service was slow but the place was decorated to feel like you stepped back in time. It was a beautiful beach too.

Situated right beside the pier. The food is delicious, and it isn't expensive whatsoever. Staff is very friendly and accommodating! Burgers are always juicy and fresh. We ordered pickles to start, burgers and fries, and a dessert. Always make it a point to eat before walking the pier!

It was okay but it could have been better so I'm going to scale things off. Cleanliness 10/10 food 3/10 Waitress 7/10

I just read your 5 star review from someone who was happy that you didn't require his party to wear masks. We eat at the Diner several times a year. My wife and I are both over 60 and the virus could be hazardous for us. It is so irresponsible for you to not comply with virus prevention guidelines and policies. We won't be back.

Love the food and the staff. Only negative thing is the menu is very limited if you want to order takeout. Wasn't impressed with the biscuit I got from them to go one time. Favorite meal is the burger with a friend egg and sweat potato fries.

Awesome Little Dinner!!!! Very nice Waitresses and food that is amazing! Especially the Grilled Chicken breast Sandwich and we love sweet tea and sweet tea is very hard to come by in reference of being a considered as a Awesome glass of sweet tea and I am going to tell you all the food and the sweet tea is perfect!!!!🙏😎🌴

Great breakfast here with pleasant and efficient service. This is one place I would definitely return to. Interior had a nice retro feel to it almost like stepping back in time in a good way.

Food was great. Service, as I experienced in many places in the area, not so friendly. I thought there was supposed to be Southern hospitality, but the servers in Cleveland are much friendlier! To their defense, it did get pretty busy. Anyway, the food was really good, especially the biscuits. My kids got pancakes and wanted to go back every morning!

I have eaten here every day and loved every minute of my time spent here. The food is amazing and taste home cooked and the staff are some of the most lovely people you will meet. The feed is cheap and large servings. If you go for breakfast try the biscuits and for lunch I recommend the burger. Whatever you choose it will be amazing.

This diner has great food and has an awesome family environment. Trisha was a waitress for us a couple of times when we were visiting and she was great. This diner is a must for our family when we visit Kure Beach... ❤

The people here are like home folks. Everyone is friendly. The service is great snd the food is awesome. Loved the grilled salmon salad.

We’ve eaten here several times. We love the food and often had great service. Every year the one older waitress though gets ruder and ruder. This year was no different. She in particular was very rude. I think she is a manager or something because she wears a different color shirt

I have enjoyed every breakfast I have ever had here over the course of 40 years. The biscuits are to die for. The service is always with a smile. The prices are so reasonable and the food so good.

A very nice local diner by the pier with a 50s motif. Very friendly, courteous staff. The food was delicious. Stopped for dinner one day then breakfast the next. got the mushroom swiss burger with sweet potato fries the first time, the pancake trio platter with sausage the next. Both times delicious. There was a bit of a wait at breakfast, but that's to be expected. They had a full house. Still worth the wait

Restaurant survives because of location. Food overpriced for quality. They also have some crooked ways of pricing. For Example the “French toast platter”. Platter is simply French toast with choice of bacon or sausage for $7.99. French toast alone is $5.99 for 6 halves and a side of sausage is $2.59 for 2 patties. When you order the platter you receive 4 halves of toast with the addition of 2 patties of sausage. That is a reduction of 1/3 of the toast which has the value of roughly $2.00. Sorry I know this is a lot of numbers for a restaurant review but the point is. If you get the platter you pay $3.99 for a $2.59 order of sausage. I call that a scam.

Yummy, down home breakfast this morning with superb service..so close to the pier, with excellent parking options. Only wish there were children's plates...serving size was a bit too large for my four year old.

Great little, local diner. The service was fast, friendly, & genuine. Perfect spot for young kids. The kids menu is: popcorn shrimp, chicken tenders, grilled cheese, & hot dog; all served with fries. I loved getting a basket of hush puppies while we waited for our food. We didn't order them, but I think they're on the house like a basket of bread. The diner is very clean & well kept, making it a great place for a family meal.

Our family has always loved this spot, and I’m happy to say it’s taken a major step up in the last few years. There was a change in ownership at some point but they kept a nice charm. Best home fries I ever had! If you like soggy, undercooked taters you will HATE THEM... grabbed some to-go biscuits the other day and they were some of the best ever! On par with Sunrise Biscuit Kitchen in Chapel Hill. Man I love biscuits.

Awesome food and reasonable prices. I always make a point to go the KBD when at Kure Beach. Fast and friendly service adds charm to this 'back in time' beach front eatery. Be prepared to wait for a table on weekends.

The food was sub par and the service even worse. The waitress was rude, she would only speak to the person I was with and overlooked what I needed. Please do better!

The crab cakes are to die for. The po' boy is astounding as well! Super friendly wait staff. All around, a fantastic place to eat!

We ate here twice. Both time are breakfast. The biscuits are no joke. The French toast is very good ( make sure you have powdered sugar sprinkled on it... order a large juice rather than a small. 75 cents more is worth it for a large trust me.Relaxed and clean vibe.Will be back again when we visit NC in the future.

A month later we made it back again. We enjoyed the Flounder Sandwich and the Oyster Sandwich. The waitress was great.We had a nice lunch here. We had a bowl of Clam Chowder, Shrimp Burger and a Reuben. They were very good. The waitress took very good care of us. We are looking forward to their homemade biscuits for breakfast.

Love this diner. Biscuits and gravy are what my family usually gets. I get an omelette and rye bread. Love the servers. We go here once a week on average.

This place was awesome. Even with the face mask restrictions, they didn't force the issue and served us with grace and pleasantries and didn't make us feel unwelcome for not wearing masks. We will return.

Casual little place right near the Kure Beach Pier. Good was ok. Edit staff pleasant. If you are hungry it will fill your belly!

Friendly service, we got there just shy of them closing for the day, and they sat us, and told us not to worry, took our order, and a wonderful conversation on homemade recipes, and even had us try a few samples. The ladies joked around with my kids, so many pluses. The comfort food was great, seasoned well, and cooked just right! Highly recommend!
